No Filter

NO FILTER

'No Filter' is a photo collage of images to represent the "dark" side of social media and show the real truth behind the social filters. A big issue is all the hatred towards each other. A person receives far more negative comments than positive ones.

- Why do hate comments stick and compliments drain off?

PHOTO COLLAGE

My goals with my photo collage is to show and tell about the horrible world we today live in. That our life is based on how one's social media accounts look. I will show how people are affected by the posts they each day see, that the posts are not real, but are so mass edited. In this project I will get more experience to use to adapt bigger projects in the future.

'The feeling when you see your friends have fun without invinting you'.

Let It Hurt, Then Let It Go

'Hurting is just temporary, it is not something you should focus on. Just let it go'.

My Own Expectations Hurt Me

'Don't let yourself get hurt by your own expectations, don't compare yourself to others'.

Words Like Violence

'Comments can sometimes hurt more than physical violence'.

We Ignore Truth For Temporary Happiness

'The happiness we see on social media is only temporary. Don't put too much effort in other people's happiness, use it for yourself'.

So Many Feelings Go Unsaid

'On social media you don't open up, you don't tell others how you really feel'.

Tears should not come from the brain, it should come from the heart

'Don't think too much about how others see you. Everyone sees you differently'.

This is just the beginning

"Take the first step in faith. You don't have to see the whole staircase, just the first step".

-Martin Luther King Jr.
